Short version: we collect what we need to decide whether to give you access and to do business with you. We don't sell it, rent it, or give it to anybody else, and no other buyer ever sees it.
We use it to decide whether to approve your access, get in touch with you about pipe, run the bidding, and handle the sale when you win a lot. That's all we use it for.
Our office. It's not sold, not rented, and not shared with other buyers or anyone else. Other buyers never see your name, your company, or your offers. The bidding is private both ways, so you never find out who else is bidding or what they offered either.
One signed session cookie, so the site remembers you're logged in. It runs out after twelve hours. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics trackers, and no third-party scripts on this site.
We email you about your account, your offers, and new lots when we post them. Reply to sales@recoveredpipe.com and we'll stop sending the new-lot emails. Account and offer emails stop when your account is closed.
Passwords are hashed and salted before we store them. They're never put in any spreadsheet and never emailed in plain text. Nobody here can read your password. If you need a reset, we send you a link that only works once.
We keep records of offers and finished sales like any other business records. Ask us and we'll close your account and take your contact info off the buyer list.
The confirmation and approval links in our emails work just by having the link. Treat one like a key: it's meant for you, so don't forward it. They expire.
